Crossing seas and ocean currents with the strength of their arms, like slaves… before the industrial age men used their strength, their muscles and sweat.

 

This installation captures man’s pain as well as his creative genius to attempt to dominate the forces of nature.

 

Here the old vessels are no more than fossils, only the oars have survived, in a world where energy has become a global concern. Returning to the source therefore makes sense, it invites a collective reflection.
